22nd November 2021
The Bible Society has a wide range of resources on their website for Christmas. Starting with Advent, the Family Advent Box provides all the ingredients for a meaningful, memory making, and relationship-building family Christmas that will be fun for all. We were so encouraged when St. Paul’s Finchley told us they had purchased a box to be given by church members to each family in their church. We have also heard of classrooms using it as part of their morning worship. Also available is the Advent Encounter a free resource that you sign up for and then from 1–24 December 2021, you will receive one themed email a day. It will contain a video, challenges to make and do, a prayer, some suggested Bible verses to read and questions to consider.
For Christmas, we have The Impossible Promise storybook, animation and instant nativity as well as a video with Makaton signs for the story. Dai Woolridge has produced a Spoken Word video, there are further resources to help you, and your community celebrate Christmas.
All these resources are featured on the Bible Society website as well as being featured on our specific school chaplain webpage which has resources for you throughout the year.
